I am constantly amazed what people do with paper and it’s derivatives; Cara Barer is one of those people who amaze me. She calls herself a photographer but her art goes beyond the photograph. It’s easy to see why she calls herself a photographer since many of the pieces would not be seen as art without the single perspective of the camera lens but the word photographer does not contain within it the ability to describe the sculptures she creates with paper and lens. If I could I would create a new word but none will do her work justice.
